Our mission is to impact the nations for Christ by strengthening the vitality of ministry leaders that visit the Mountain Top Oasis where our guests will receive skilled care through a personalized retreat.
We have a desire to help guests move forward and gain a fresh perspective in life by providing a safe and nurturing environment where leaders can be refueled, restored and ready to return to ministry with renewed vigor and endurance.
About Your Hosts
Your hosts, Jon and Candice Rowe, come from polar opposite lifestyles where their experiences allow them to relate with many different people and backgrounds. For the past 12 years, they have been faithfully serving the Lord in a variety of ways; from volunteering with youth ministries to walking alongside church leaders and their families.
After tying the knot in 2014, the Lord put it on their hearts to focus on caring for the caregivers. God opened up an opportunity to pursue working in this field cross-culturally. Jon and Candice have various skills, utilize various Biblical tools, and were trained in coaching and debriefing. In 2018, they made their way to Costa Rica where they hosted a multitude of Christian leaders from around the world. While there, God also allowed them to help another missionary couple plant two home churches. Then, God broke their hearts for Christian leaders in the United States and He opened new doors for them to relocate in 2021.

Our heart is to provide a place of rest, retreat and renewal for missionaries, pastors, and Christian workers. Specific aspects of the retreats below can be combined and personalized to meet the needs of each guest. Our hope is that in the midst of God’s beauty and creation, guests will draw closer to Him and gain a fresh vision for their ministry.

Debriefing Retreat
Everything included in the Personal Retreat plus...
An extended stay allowing time to look back and reflect on a difficult season or experience.
Scheduled sessions to help process and move forward in positive ways.
Includes a stow away queen size bed, two single beds, and a bedroom furnished with a queen size bed. There is a full bathroom, small kitchenette, and game room.
The game room is equipped with a comfy couch and chairs, ping pong table, poker table, two old school arcade games, a TV with movies and video games, as well as tons of board games and books. We also have items for younger children to color and play.
We provide linens, towels, and extra toiletries if needed. The guests have a separate entrance for their use and the entire bottom floor for privacy.
For retreats with more than 6 guests, we have two more bedrooms with queen size beds, another full bathroom, and two couch beds available.
Guests have access to all main living spaces including the kitchen.
The Mountain Top Oasis sits between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear in the San Bernardino mountains. Situated just 15 minutes away from Lake Arrowhead and 30 minutes from Big Bear, Running Springs has a lot to offer. There are many local activities available to help guests relax and enjoy family time or God’s creation where they can draw near to Him.

Guests are on their own for lunch. You can bring your own food to prepare, shop at the local markets, or eat out at any of the nearby restaurants.

*Note: We make sure to ask if you have any dietary restrictions.
The Mountain Top Oasis operates solely via donations. There is no required cost for your stay, only a suggested gift. All contributions go towards helping with the cost of your stay which includes accommodations, meals, and any services received such as coaching or debriefing.

**Please note this is truly a suggested donation. We just want our guests to value their time at the Oasis. If the amount is a hardship, let us know as we do not want it to be a hindrance from you getting away for rest and refreshment.**
